Abstract
1498584 Pulse duration demodulator HONEYWELL Inc 24 Feb 1976 [19 March 1975] 07128/76 Heading H4L A pulse duration to analogue current converter comprises an integrating network 8, 16, to which transistors 4, 12 whose bases are coupled to reference voltage V R , are connected, the collector current of transistor 4 being varied in accordance with the variable duration of constant period pulses applied at terminal 18, the averaged output being amplified at 22 and converted to a corresponding current in a load resistor connected at 28. To minimize the required value of resistor 30, the amplifier feedback comprises resistors 32 and 38, and transistor 34 whose base is connected to the reference voltage, the constant current characteristic of the path 38-34-32 ensuring that variations in the emitter voltage of transistor 26 are fully fed back to the inverting input of amplifier 22, the constant D.C. shift across resistor 32 ensuring that the amplifier operates in the linear region. The load current is proportional to the pulse input duty cycle.
