Abstract

1498336 Resiliently mounted container R J RICCIARDI 7 April 1976 [16 April 1975] 14155/76 Heading G1W [Also in Division E2] A container for weighing the contents thereof is resiliently mounted on a support 26 1 by means of a pair of torsion pivots which respectively connect a bracket 12 1 on the container and the support 26 1 to a link member 20 1 , each pivot comprising a plate 16, 24, connected to the bracket 12 1 on the support 26 1 , a spaced parallel plate 18 1 , 22 1 connected to the link member 201, and a plurality of resilient cross-members 32 1 which extend perpendicular to and inter-connect the plates and which are symmetrically dispersed about the pivot axis. The container is similarly mounted on supports 26 2 and 26 3 , and a sensor beam 96 connected to link member 20 1 operates a differential transformer to produce a weight output signal. The weighing range may be adjusted by a helical spring acting on beam 96, Fig. 3 (not shown). The plate elements and cross-members may be of stainless steel.
