Abstract

1,161,921. Balance weights for tractors. X. FENDT and H. FENDT. 2 March, 1967 [9 March, 1966], No. 9820/67. Heading B7L. [Also in Divisions E2 and G1] Balance weights for mounting on a tractor comprise plate-like members 4 which are formed with noses 6 and recesses 5 to mount them on a preceding weight, the first weight being mounted on a fixed plate 3 having corresponding recesses. Lower projections 7 and recesses 8 interlock to prevent tilting of the weights when in position, and handles-cum-spacers 9 prevent clockwise rotation. The noses 6 and recesses 5 may be formed in angled parts 4 of the weights, be wedge-shaped and the noses turned inwardly or outwardly with respect to the longitudinal centre line of the tractor. In a modification the weights are substantially U-shaped with tubular handles/spacers 9. The first weight is bolted to a mounting plate provided with buffers.
