Abstract

1497126 Fused electrical plug J M AHRONI 30 Oct 1975 [4 Nov 1974] 44971/75 Heading H2E A fused electrical plug has a body 2 with prongs 24 and at least one fuse 30 therebetween, connected at one end to a respective prong. The ends 22 of connecting wires 18 are held in electrical contact between the other ends of fuses 30 and the cover plate 34 by resilience of the fuses 30. Strain relief of the wires 18 is provided by suitable grooves in the plug body (Fig. 3, not shown). The prongs 24 may have resilient contacts 28 to accommodate the prongs of an additional plug (not shown) in apertures 6, this connection not being fused. One or both prongs may be fused.
