Abstract

1496826 Door seals INDUSTRIE-EN HANDELSONDERNEMING ELTON BV 17 April 1975 [20 March 1975] 15972/75 Heading E1J A hinged-flap weather seal for the bottom of a door comprises a member 1 which is screwed to the door via the holes 5 and has undercut grooves 8, 8a and an open cylindrical socket 9. The flap member 2 has along one edge a cylindrical bead 10 which pivots in the socket and at the other edge has an extension 3. The spring 6 is fixed in the grooves 8 and 8a and biases the flap away from the door. The spring 7 also held in the grooves 8 and 8a has a portion 7a which passes through a gap cut in the wall between grooves 8 and socket 9 and engages in one of the notches 10a thus preventing relative lateral movement of the flap and the member. The arm 4 is clamped on the flap 2 and moves the seal into its operative position by abutment against the door frame when the door closes.
