Abstract

1496774 Scaffold cradles SWING STAGE Ltd 28 Feb 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 6665/74 Heading E1S A workmen's cradle comprises a base structure including tubular members, a handrail 14, and a handrail support 1 consisting of an elongate portion 2 received in a tubular member of the base and resiliently engaged therein, and another elongate portion at an angle to the first and secured to the handrail. There may be two such angled supports meeting at an apex, with a further elongate portion 13 extending downwardly from the apex. A bolt projecting from the apex engages a recess, e.g. a keyhole slot, in the handrail. The resilient engaging means comprise spigots 9, 10 spring-biassed out of apertures 6 in the portion 2.
