Abstract

1321423 Scaffolding frameworks KWIKFORM Ltd 22 Oct 1970 [28 Oct 1969 19 Nov 1969 20 March 1970] 52660/69 56617/69 and 13563/70 Heading E1S A scaffolding framework is made up using frames each with at least a vertical tubular upright 11 and a horizontal member 12 and connected to horizontally and vertically adjacent frames by a combination of connectors, i.e. a first connector 14 at the free end of the horizontal member 12, a second pivotally mounted connector and damping member 22 and a socket 9. The connector 14 has an upper arm 16 (Fig. 4) which passes over member 22 and forces the curved end thereof into engagement with part of the circumference of an upper upright 11b (Fig. 3), when a captive angle-sectional wedge 19 thereon is forced down, the upright 11b being located by socket 9 and having a hole 26 therein which is engaged by a projection 25 on member 22. The wedge 19 has an outwardly sloping lower edge (20c), Fig. 5 (not shown), to hold it captive.
