1495198 Toy figure PLAYMATES INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 28 May 1976 [12 Nov 1975] 46745/75 Heading A6S In a toy figure, pivotal movement of arms 1, 2 is transmitted via a longitudinally extending shaft 12 to legs 3, 4 to simulate a co-ordinated walking movement of the limbs. As shown, pivotally mounted arms 1, 2 are connected via cylindrical portions 27, 28 and fork elements 29, 30 to an upper transverse end part 19 of the shaft whereby pivotal movement of either arm is effective in rotating the shaft and which thereby via a lower transverse end part 22 which abuts projections 37, 38 on the legs 3, 4 imparts a walking motion to the legs. In an alternative arrangement (not shown) the transverse upper end part of the shaft terminates at each branch end in knob formations which are retained in the respective bifurcations of the fork elements carried by the arms, and the lower transverse end part terminates each branch end in a bifurcation which retains a knob formation at the respective co-operating extremities of the leg projections-the latter refinement ensuring that any leg motion is transmitted to the arms. All parts may be formed of plastics material; the shaft may as an alternative be formed of metal.
