865,774. Musical toys. LEVY, L. B. May 21, 1959 [May 29, 1958], No. 17189/58. Addition to 774,365. Class 132(3). A clockwork musical mechanism 1 is secured in the body of a toy animal figure and a rotatable drum of the mechanism has an extension in the form of a bent rod 6 which projects into a flattened sleeve 10. The sleeve is fixed in the tail of the figure and forms a follower. When the clockwork mechanism operates, the rod 6 describes a cone and imparts a side to side motion to the tail. The arrangement may be applied to hard toys or dolls and to any movable part, e.g. a head, jaw, limb, or an elephant's trunk.
