Abstract

1494391 Securing bicycle brake cones SHIMANO INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 24 Dec 1974 [29 Dec 1973] 1081/75 Heading B7E The brake cone 21 of a coaster brake hub 2 is non-rotatably secured to a forked end 1 of a bicycle frame member with the aid of a member 3 having a non-circular aperture 33 receiving a non-circular end portion 21a of the cone 21, and provided with a pair of projections 31 engaging respective side edges of the fork limbs 11, 12 and with a third projection 32 engaging within the slot 13 between the fork limbs 11,12 so that the member 3 is non-rotatable, the member 3 being retained on the end 1 by a nut 5 threaded on to the shaft 22 of the hub 2 which passes through the aperture 33 and the slot 13.
