Abstract

1494329 Differential colour effects on cellulose material HOECHST AG 17 Dec 1974 [17 Dec 1973] 54424/74 Heading D1B A process for producing differentiated colour or flow effects on cellulosic textile material comprises padding the material with a solution of a fibre-reactive dyestuff, applying to portions of the padded material in the wet state prior to dyestuff fixation a quaternary ammonium compound, and subsequently subjecting the material to a dyestuff fixation process in the presence of an acid-binding agent. A preferred quaternary ammonium compound is dodecyl - dimethyl - benzyl - ammonium chloride. The quaternary ammonium compound may be applied by dropping. painting, spraying, foaming, pouring or printing.
