Abstract

149,218. Loewe, S. April 18, 1918, [Convention date] Wireless signalling.-In apparatus for receiving wireless signals and employing thermionic receiver and amplifiers, the received oscillations are led to the anode of the receiver, and energy transmitted to the input transformer of the amplifier is taken from the grid circuit of the receiver. This arrangement minimizes retroactive self-excitation, and allows conducting connexion in the input transformer to be retained. An aerial 5 is shown connected to the anode of the receiver 1. The grid circuit 4 of the receiver is coupled through a transformer 6, 7 with the grid of the amplifier 11, and energy is drawn from circuit 4 by means of a condenser 13 connected, on one side directly, and on the other side through the coil 6, to the negative pole of the battery. A series of amplifiers may ba used, a telephone 10 being included in the anode circuit of the last amplifier of the series.
