Abstract

1492036 Transfer printing TOOTAL Ltd 2 Oct 1975 [9 July 1974 28 April 1975] 30276/74 and 17523/75 Heading B6C Transfers are applied to a wet fabric web 16, which is guided, round a heated rotary drum 10, over a paper web 14, by a first pressure exerted by an outer, water impervious, endless, blanket web 20 on a transfer web 18 and a second pressure exerted by pressure rollers 66. The tension in blanket web 20 may be adjusted by roller 58 which is shifted by a fluid cylinder, and the pressures exerted by rollers 66 are individually adjustable so that a graded pressure is set up which increases as the webs pass round the drum 10. After transfer, web 16 is passed through a steaming chamber and a hot air drier.
