1490186 Cooling IC engine charge GARRETT CORP 5 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 52706/74 Heading F1B In an internal combustion engine 10, the combustion air leaving compressor 14 is cooled in a heat exchanger 24 and is further cooled by expansion through a turbine 28 driving fan 42 which blows ambient air over heat exchanger 24 to assist cooling therein. The cooled air flows to intake manifold 20. Compressor 14 is driven by exhaust gas turbine 16.
