Abstract

1489855 Mounting tie IMPEX-ESSEN VERTRIEB VON WERKZEUGEN GmbH 23 April 1976 [12 June 1975] 16651/76 Heading F2H A mounting tie comprises a shank 1 having at one end an expansion cone 2, the maximum diameter of which does not exceed the maximum diameter of the shank, and an expansible sleeve 4 mounted on a portion 3 of reduced diameter, and, at the other end, a flattened connection head provided with hole 6. The head may also be provided with ridging or fluting 7. The sleeve may have, in addition to expansion slot 41, at least one continuous longitudinal slit to enable it to be passed over cone 2. The cone, head, and portion of reduced diameter may be integral with the shank. Alternatively, the cone may be detachably connected to the portion of reduced diameter in which case the sleeve may not be provided with said slit(s). In use, a strap may be fastened to the tie mounted in a ceiling, the strap supporting a pipe (Fig. 3, not shown).
