Reflectors; reflector-holders. - In an upright incandescent g a s lamp, a clear glass reflecting cone a is supported by a bulge b on the lower half of the clear glass lamp chimney c in such a position that the upper edge of the cone is not more than 6 cm. from the upper end of the burner d, and the lower edge of the cone is well below the bottom of the chimney. The cone reflects the downwardly directed rays so as to bring them near the vertical, while the upwardly directed rays pass through the cone and illuminate the space above the lamp.
