Abstract

1489283 Loudspeaker systems; loudspeaker baffles J G DAHLQUIST 8 April 1975 [14 May 1974] 14387/75 Headings H4J and H4X The middle and high frequency transducers 17-19 of the loudspeaker system disclosed in Specification 1,435,623 are provided with annular "baffles" 20-22, the longest dimension D of each baffle being not more than one half the wavelength of a sound wave at the frequency of the lower nominal crossover frequency fed to the respective transducer, i.e. the frequency whereat the audio signals fed to the transducer are attenuated by 3 db. Preferably the "baffle" size should be between “ and ¢ of the wavelength.
