Abstract

The electrical detonator, which is installed in the wall of a pressure container of an internal-combustion engine, contains components (4, 5, 6, 8, 10) which are produced from a material which withstands the pressure and temperature produced inside the pressure container. The detonator is protected against accidental detonation by electromagnetic fields or as a consequence of electrostatic discharges in that at least one of its supply wires (3, 3') is connected to the incandescent filament (8) via a radio-frequency filter, a metal housing (1) being provided in which the components of the detonator are enclosed. <IMAGE>
