Abstract
1488749 Controlling temperature during drying AIR-INDUSTRIE 30 Oct 1975 [31 Oct 1974] 45054/75 Heading F4G An installation for controlling the temperature in a stove 1 for drying or baking freshly painted articles, e.g. vehicle bodies, comprises a recycling circuit 6 connected between a hot air intake line 4 and a return line 5, the circuit 6 ineluding a fan 7, a first input 8 and the output 9 of a mixer 10. The other input 11 of the mixer 10 is connected to the output 19 of a mixer 12 the inputs 13, 14 of which are connected to a hot air line 16 and a cool air line 15 under the control of valves 18, 17, which are adjusted in response to the temperature in the stove 1 (at 30) and the mass flow of air in the line 19 (at 33), so that a constant mass flow is maintained in the line 19 as the ratio of air passed by the valves 17, 18 varies in response to temperature variations in the stove. The hot air in line 16 is provided by an incinerator 21 burning gases extracted at 22 from the oven, and the pressure in the lines 15, 16 is maintained constant by valves 29, 27 actuated by pressure sensors 28, 26.
