Abstract

1486484 Conveying and grouping bricks STAMICARBON BV 6 Feb 1975 [7 Feb 1974 29 April 1974] 5129/75 Heading B8A Bricks initially on a conveyer 1 are arranged in a desired orientation and grouping on a conveyer 10, by being fed to a series of conveyers 2, 3, and 4, which have progressively increasing speeds. The bricks are engaged by a rotating member 14 having radially projecting members 15, and by guide members 5<SP>1</SP>, 5<SP>11</SP>, the downstream ends of which are formed by rollers 11, 12. The guide 5<SP>1</SP> has a deflecting section 18 which can discharge selected bricks to a position outside the guides 5<SP>1</SP>, 5<SP>11</SP>. The deflected bricks then pass to a recycling loop 19, 20, 21. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) four sets of guides 5<SP>1</SP>, 511, are arranged in parallel.
