Abstract

Elongate mouldings are sorted and ordered, using a segmented roller conveyor whose successive segments, from the feet end, have progressively higher speed; a guide wall above the conveyor is at an angle to the long axis such that the wall begins at one feed side and ends in each case in the line extending the other feed side over one of the next segments, behind which the mouldings can be conducted longitudinally further. Non-ordered moulding can be fed on and ordered ones delivered. The guide wall has a part, which can hinge about a vertical shaft, at the other feed side or further on; the part is as long as a moulding, and opens against the direction of forwarding, allowing a moulding to be sorted to pass into a bunker element. After the bunker element is filled with sorted mouldings, these are fed to the feed for the inordered mouldings and are conducted via the conveyor to the delivery for ordered mouldings, while the feed of unsorted mouldings is discontinued.
