1486143 Photographic acylacetanilide twoequivalent couplers EASTMAN KODAK CO 10 March 1975 [8 March 1974] 9873/75 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] A silver halide colour developing composition contains an aromatic amino colour developing agent and a novel compound of Formula I: in which R is a branched chain C 3-6 alkyl group; radials X are the same and are chlorine or bromine atoms; Y is hydrogen, a third Cl atom, a third Br atom or a C 1-8 alkyl group and one of A and B is hydrogen the other being CO 2 M in which M is a photographically inactive cation, (e.g. H, NH 4 , alkali metal or tertiary amine (a methyl group or an ethyl group and may be used in the form of an aqueous alkaline solution preferably at pH of at least 10.
