Abstract

1,074,053. Colour photographic materials. FUJI SHASHIN FILM KABUSHIKA KAISHA. Sept. 29, 1965 [Sept. 29, 1964], No.41450/65. Heading G2C. A colour photographic material comprises a silver halide emulsion containing a colour coupler of the formula in which R, is an alkyl group preferably a long chain alkyl group a substituted alkyl group, an acylamino group, the acyl radical may be longchained and may contain sulphonic acid carboxyl, amido or aryloxy groups or be unsaturated, or a sulphonamido group and X1, X2 and X3 are hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, halogen, acylamino, N-alkyl carbamoyl, N-substituted alkyl carbamoyl, sulphonamido, sulphamoyl, N-substituted sulphamoyl, alkoxy or aryloxy; and a second colour coupler of the formula:- wherein R2 is as R1 or an arylamino group and X4 is a sulphonic acid or carboxyl group, or an alkali metal or ammonium salt thereof, to improve linear gradation.
