1485913 Pneumatic tyre and wheel rim combination CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 28 April 1975 [9 May 1974] 17501/75 Heading B7C In a pneumatic tyre and wheel rim combination the maximum diameter D of the bead retaining flanges 9 is greater than the mean diameter d m of the bead cores 4 but less than the maximum diameter d of the bead cores. Angle A is not greater than 5 degrees and is preferably 0 degrees, while angle B (i.e. the angle which each flange makes at its junction with the associated bead seat 7) is in the range 45-65 degrees. The bead cores may have a parallelogram, circular or oval cross-section.
