1485621 Laying electric cables M OATES and D SLATER 24 July 1974 [24 April 1973] 19343/73 Heading H2C Electric wiring 11 is arranged in an enclosure 10, e.g. conduit, tubing, piping or trunking with the enclosure completely surrounding the wiring and then a protective packing material 13 is arranged to at least partially fill the enclosure so that it completely surrounds and protects the wiring. The packing may protect the wiring against heat, condensation, gases, or chemicals and it may be fluid, semi-fluid or foam prepared by mixing a plastics material with a foaming agent; it may be pumped into the enclosure. The material is preferably non- adhesive and such that additional wires may be inserted or existing ones withdrawn.
