Abstract

148,550. Eschweiler Bergwerks-Verein. Nov. 26, 1917, [Convention date]. Turntables.-Two-way turntables, with two tracks at right angles, have each pair of main girders divided and interconnected by a pivot joint. The parts e<1>, e<2>, Fig. 1, of one girder are connected, as described in Specification 148,549, by plates l<1> and pins z<1>, and are recessed at b to receive the tapered or reduced ends of the girders e<3>, e<4>. The girder e<1> has a member o engaging a bearing u carried by a girder q<1> on the centre support k. Secured to the girders e<1>, e<2> are transverse girders q<2> which carry pivot pins z<2>, Fig. 3, for plates l<2> attached to the girders e<3>, e<4>. Horizontal braces v<1>, v<2>, Fig. 5, connect adjacent pairs of girders at their ends and towards the centre. The turntable is driven from two adjacent pairs of girders.
