Turntables.-Each half of a turntable with divided main girders a of the type described in Specification 8573/14 has a built-up transverse girder q with a bearing-member l in engagement with the upper part k<1> of the centre support. The girder q has extensions h which embrace the top of the part k<1> to prevent lateral movement of the girders a. The members l are placed close together and are retained by bolts f or clamps end springs. The bottom flanges of the girders a are connected by plates d which carry rollers r in engagement with the lower part k<2> of the support. The girders q are connected by bolts b provided with convex washers m and distancepieces p and arranged in the plane of the axes of the members l.
