Discharging.-A reciprocating device working on a fixed plate 3 for discharging ashes from gas producers has its discharge surfaces 1 disposed so far from one another that either of them will reciprocate only under one-half of the producer shaft, means, such as slanting surfaces 6, being provided to agitate the centre of the ash column. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also constructions shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 4 (Cancelled), consisting of reciprocating slides 2, Fig. 1, or 2 and 8, Fig. 4, or of a block 6, Fig. 2, with a flat top. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
