1482072 Cattle crush S F LANE 1 Nov 1974 [1 Aug 1973] 36635/73 Heading A5R A cattle crush comprises a pair of side walls 10, 11, a gate 13 and yoke 14 at the front end thereof, means for preventing rearward movement of a beast within the crush located at adjacent the rear end, and lifting gear including means for connection to a belt 34 for passing beneath the beast so that the beast can be lifted and its fore feet supported on footrests 23 disposed one on each side wall and its rear feet supported on a footrest or footrests 24 at the rear of the crush. The lifting gear includes a winch 26 connected by cables 32 to the ends of belt means 34. The means preventing rearward movement of the beast comprises a bar the ends of which are received in inclined rack members 25 on each side wall. The footrests each comprise a plank pivoted to the side walls.
