Abstract
1479672 Colour television ROBERT BOSCH FERNSEHANLAGEN GmbH 17 July 1974 [25 July 1973] 31649/74 Heading H4F A PAL colour subcarrier having quarter-line offset and 25 Hz offset is produced by an oscillator 1, the 25 Hz offset being removed by a circuit 3, the resulting signal being frequency divided by 1135 at 5 to provide a signal at one quarter the line frequency which is fed to one input of a phase comparison circuit 6 which controls an oscillator 8 oscillating at a multiple (e.g. 84) of the line frequency, the output of which is fed to a circuit 7 which, by frequency division and logical coupling, produces synchronizing signals and a signal at one quarter the line frequency which is fed to the other input of the phase comparator 6. Circuit 7 provides at terminals 12-17 a line frequency sync signal, a half-line frequency sync signal, a field frequency sync signal, a synchronizing signal S, a blanking signal A, and a PAL recognition signal K respectively. Circuit 7 also produces a half-field frequency signal to control circuit 3 which suppresses one subcarrier cycle 25 times per second; a non-linear low pass member 9 may be included to remove disturbances caused by the action of circuit 3.
