1412913 APC systems GRUNDIG EMV ELEKTRO - MECHANISCHE VERSUCHSANSTALT MAX GRUNDIG 5 April 1974 [5 April 1973] 15173/74 Heading H3A A television signal synchronizing arrangement suitable for synchronizing a plurality of TV picture signal sources to a master source comprises a variable frequency oscillator 7, a frequency divider 10 arranged to develop from the oscillator output local horizontal and vertical synchronizing pulses, a phase comparator 6 fed with local and external horizontal synchronizing pulses to derive a control signal for the oscillator, a stage 3 fed with local and external vertical synchronizing pulses and producing an output when the two set of pulses do not coincide which is applied to a gated mixer 5 along with the oscillator output to vary the effective repetition rate of the latter. Sync. signals at 1 from a master camera or from a source generator control at 6, 3 the phases of the horizontal, vertical sync. pulses to be applied to a local TV camera connected at 14 in each station. In the event of failure of signals at 1, a crystal oscillator 8 is switched in by 12 and serves as a master source for the following stages. Fig. 2 (not shown) relates to detailed circuitry of some of the stages.
