1479337 Rail vehicle suspensions KUGELFISCHER GEORG SCHAFER & CO 5 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 52694/74 Heading B7L An axle bearing housing 1 mounted on a logic frame 7 by V-shaped metal/rubber spring elements 9 located in position by tapered side plates 5, is characterized in that the plates are secured together by bolts 6 permitting a small amount of free play. The spring elements are arranged so that they are in shear when the bogie frame moves in a horizontal longitudinal direction relative to the housing, in compression when the bogie frame moves in a horizontal transverse direction relative to the housing, and in compression and shear under gravitational loading.
