Abstract

1478814 Stack forming machine DEERE & CO 23 May 1975 [28 May 1974] 22500/75 Heading B8E A harvesting machine for forming a crop stack comprises a trailer having a crop pick up and delivery means 20 which delivers the crop through a spout 22 into a body having a vertically movable roof 16 to compress the contents into a stack. A deflector 24 is pivotally mounted on the spout so that the crop can be directed to different parts of the body. The deflector 24 is urged into a downward deflecting position by a spring 30 and its position is controlled by the roof actuating lever 60 operated by a ram 64 so that a pivoted arm 52 is moved and acts through a cable 44 secured to a spring loaded bolt 54 to pull up the deflector 24 against its spring 30 as the roof rises to its uppermost position.
