Abstract

1478710 Pile tables EASTMAN KODAK CO 22 Nov 1974 [23 Nov 1973] 50708/74 Heading B8R A pile table 14 supported on a base 18 and guided for parallel rising and falling movement relative to the base by scissors linkages 16, has a two-legged catch 58 secured thereto, the catch forming a rigid drive connection with a drive lever 54, freely pivotably mounted on a chain 38, when the chain drives the lever upwards. A motor 50, which drives the chain, is controlled so that the uppermost sheet of a pile on the table is kept at the same level and when the pile is exhausted the motor is reversed causing the table to descend under its own weight until it abuts a stop 32a, the lever then being disengaged from the catch by engagement with a stop 66. The table may be laterally movable on rollers 34. A vacuum sheet separator may be employed.
