Abstract

1477308 Templates for marking off pipes HUNTER PLASTIC INDUSTRIES Ltd 10 May 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 46872/76 Divided out of 1477306 Heading B4X A jig 17 in the form of a flat plate having an arcuate axis of a sheet material, which may be synthetic plastics and may also be transparent, is used to indicate the line of cut required on a tubular arcuate connecting member, to connect the socket of an inspection chamber and a drainpipe. The jig 17 comprises transverse slots 19 spaced along the length of the plate corresponding to a range of angles which the arc of the plate subtends and an end part 18 adapted to be inserted into the socket of the inspection chamber. When the jig is inserted, the drainpipe end is lined up to one of the slots in the plate and then the jig is removed and placed over the connecting member which is then marked through the slot with the required line of cut for connection between socket and drainpipe.
