Abstract
1476641 Zirconium phosphate CCI LIFE SYSTEMS Inc 30 May 1974 23942/74 Heading ClA Particulate zirconium phosphate is produced by incorporating particles of a water-soluble zirconium compound (e.g. the oxychloride, acetate, nitrate, sulphate or basic sulphate) into an aqueous phosphate solution (e.g. phosphoric acid, sodium phosphate or sodium hydrogen phosphate) of concentration at least 0À5 M, allowing the components to react and recovering the particulate zirconium phosphate. Preferred particle size for the starting zirconium compound is 12 to 325 mesh Tyler. The product may be used as an ion-exchange material.
