Abstract

1474734 Reservoir applicators INTERNATIONAL PAPER CO 4 June 1974 [4 June 1973] 24644/74 Heading A4K [Also in Division B8] A reservoir applicator particularly for use in antiseptically cleansing a patient comprises a hollow liquid containing handle 10, a nozzle 15 provided with a rupturable neck 20 and a web 25 for facilitating the breaking of the neck 20 and for supporting a sponge 32. The neck is broken by placing the sponge on a surface and exerting a downward force on the handle. In a second embodiment Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) a web (40) extends from the handle and is integral with the sides of the nozzle and the web (44) for facilitating breaking of the neck extends from the end of the nozzle. The handle may be blow molded from extruded polyethylene and the nozzle and web formed by clamping between molding jaws.
