Abstract
1473903 Ground marking apparatus SISIS EQUIPMENT (MACCLESFIELD) Ltd 15 Aug 1975 [17 Aug 1974] 36309/74 Heading E1G In line-marking apparatus comprising a wheeled frame 14 guided by a handle 24, the ground wheels 10 drive an endless band 18 extending beneath the bottom outlet of a hopper 16 so that dry particulate marking material (e.g. lime) from the hopper 16 is carried forwardly by the band past an adjustable depth control gate 20 and, as the band 18 reverses direction, is dropped on to the ground past adjustably spaced lateral members (60, 62, Fig. 3 not shown) which determine the line width. The members (60, 62) comprise plates pivoted within a box 58 which underlies the wheel axle 26 over which the band reverses. The internal plates (60, 62) move with interacting external arms 70, the line width being selectively adjusted by a pivoted handle 68 thereon. The box 58 carries a ground-engaging flap 66. The band 18 is laterally guided beneath the hopper and passes under a rear brush 80.
