Abstract

1473725 Oven doors NEFF-WERKE CARL NEFF GmbH 2 Aug 1974 [10 Aug 1973 28 March 1974] 34238/74 Heading A4D [Also in Divisions F1-F4] An oven door comprises an inner wall having an inspection window 5 and an outer wall formed by a perforated metal sheet or an expanded metal grid 8 arranged in front of and spaced from the window 5 whereby, in use of the oven, air flows by convection through the space 9 between the window 5 and the sheet or grid 8 and, when the oven chamber is illuminated, the sheet or grid 8 is partially transparent. In the form shown, the sheet 8 includes bent over edges 12 held in rails 10 by spring elements. The window 5 is held between plates 6 and 7 which define spaces filled with heat insulating material. The sheet 8 is made of aluminium or steel. The perforated area of sheet 8 is 30 to 50% of the sheet area, and the diameter of each perforation is 1À8 to 3À0mm. The outer surface of sheet 8 may be enamelled and the inner surface of sheet 8 may be heat reflective.
