Abstract

1473689 Thermoluminescence MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 20 Nov 1974 50372/74 Heading C4S [Also in Division H4] A thermoluminescent panel on which is projected an X-ray image and which is scanned by an infra-red laser beam to produce visible or U.V. light (see Division H4), may be formed for example by spraying with a mixture of thermoluminescent CaSO 4 powder mixed with siloxane resin and diluted with toluene on to a quartz glass or plastic substrate to produce a 50 Ám layer, which is dried and heated. Other panel thicknesses are specified, a thinner layer giving better resolution but less sensitivity, as are particle sizes, emission intensities at different X-ray energy intensities and many other thermoluminescent materials.
