Abstract

1473241 Patterned rubber articles DUNLOP Ltd 8 Jan 1975 [25 Jan 1974] 03564/74 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] A surface pattern is applied to a 3-dimensional rubber article formed by moulding particles of rubber, by positioning coloured thermoplastics material on the desired areas of the surface of the article, placing the article in a mould which conforms closely to its surface configuration and applying heat and pressure to fuse the coloured thermoplastic material on to the surface of the article. The thermoplastic material may be applied as powder or as a sheet, and the rubber article may be moulded from scrap rubber bonded together by a resin binder.
