1472631 Laminated fibre-coated tent construction GEISER A G TENTA-WERKE and F ZEHNDER 23 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 23116/74 Heading B5N [Also in Division E1] A tent or marquee has a drip-proof interior lining comprising a waterproof base layer and a porous surface layer constituted by closelyspaced perpendicular fibres or filaments. The base may be of plastics or plastics-coated fabric and the fibres or filaments, which may be of rotresistant polyamide, polyester, polyurethane, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride, glass, asbestos or basalt, may be attached to the base by electrostatic flocking using a separate adhesive or with melting or dissolving the plastics. In use, water is absorbed by the porous layer and may be retained or run off by the force of gravity.
