Abstract

1472121 Rotary mower C VAN DER LELY NV 16 April 1974 [13 April 1973] 16617/74 Heading A1F Blades 87 are carried by supports 88 which are freely pivotable about a vertical pin 93 and a horizontal pin 90 with respect to a felly 80 of a rotor 9 such that the supports are directed outwardly from the rotor axis due to centrifugal forces during operation of the mower but may deflect upwardly and rearwardly on contact with uneven ground. An edge 94 of the support co-operates guidingly with the felly rim 86 for this deflection until the support contacts a spoke 79 acting as a stop. A bracket 92, carrying the pin 90, limits downward movement of the support 88, or the rim 86 may be extended for this purpose.
