Abstract

1469253 Flexible printing plates: saddles HERCULES Inc 26 Feb 1975 [27 Feb 1974] 8033/75 Heading B6C A semi-cylindrical, self-tensioning, pressure release saddle for flexible printing plates comprises a body 10 with wedge-shaped channel member 12 mounted thereon at the trailing edge of the plate 22. Sleeve members 16 containing a rod 18 are housed in member 12 and operatively engage plate 22, and are depressible against spring 20 to release the plate 22. Further spring means 28 urges the channel member 12 away from body 10 but may be overridden by clips 32 which had member 12 in the loading position. The assembly at the leading edge may be the same but can comprise an L-shaped member with one arm rigidly attached to the underside of body 10.
