Abstract

1468798 Vacuum cleaner bag JOHN DICKINSON & CO Ltd 3 June 1974 [2 March 1973] 10359/73 Heading BIT A vacuum cleaner dust bag of the self closing aperture type made of paper or other suitable material has an end to be fitted to the dust inlet tube formed into a "blocks" bottom on a self opening satchel type of closure (the base has flaps folded inwardly like a postal envelope) wherein at the apices of the folded flaps no glue is applied thus allowing the tube to be pushed between the centre point of the folded flaps. Gussets of the bag may be folded inwardly leaving two flaps 26 to be glued as at 28 or folded outwardly (Fig. 4 not shown) leaving similar flaps 26 to be glued. An apertured reinforcement panel may be bonded to the said end of the bag. The flaps may be truncated, the other end of the bag may be folded and glued or have a fixed or removable clip type seal.
