Abstract

1468784 Bending presses CARBOX AB 4 April 1975 [5 April 1974] 13946/75 Heading B3E A press brake for bending metal plates includes two end housings 1 and 2 between which extend two beams 9 and 10, the upper beam forming (or carrying) a fixed press tool 23, and a movable press tool 13 being located between the beams and is movable upwardly by two rows of cylinders 16 towards the upper tool 23 to perform a working stroke. Each housing is formed by two columns 3 and 4 linked by end yokes 5 and 6 and surrounded by a prestressed wire bandage 7. The beam 10 is urged upwardly in use by cylinders 11 and 12 at its ends, and is removable longitudinally from the housings. Removable rails 21 and 22 support the beam during its withdrawal (along a roller table 19) from the housings.
