Abstract

1370595 Adjustable dies HAMMERLE AG MASCHINENFABRIK 30 March 1973 [13 April 1972] 15313/73 Heading B3E Bending apparatus for bending metal sheets 9, Fig. 1, comprises a punch 1 and a co-operating die 5, a longitudinally extending recess 7 in the surface of the die, and a stop member provided in the bottom of the recess to adjust the spacing between the effective bottom of the die recess and the top of the die. The punch is secured to a support of a folding or bending press and its working surfaces 2, 3 contact the sheet 9 with a working tip 4. Upon contact of sheet 9 with a stop bar 8 a pressure switch (not shown) interrupts movement of the punch. The bar is readily removable and replaceable. Alternatively, an adjustable stop bar 10, Fig. 3, may be provided. The bar may be adjusted by a plurality of supporting spindles attached to a hand wheel (not shown), or may comprise bevelled surfaces 12 which cooperate with oblique flat surfaces 11 in the die recess 7 and may be displaced back and forth. The bar 10 may be connected with a controlled actuating mechanism (not shown).
