Abstract

146,802. Rece, F. S., and Cunningham, A. P. March 20, 1920. Poultry-killing. - A poultry decapitator comprises a standard 2 made from a sheet-metal blank, and a knife which is depressed by a handle 25 against the action of a spring 26. The knife is guided by parts 4 and 8 formed in the folding of the blank, and to limit the upward movement of the knife shoulders thereon engage a stirrup 20 passing through slots in the casing and held in position by a split pin. The shank of the knife is also guided by the stirrup 20 and a second stirrup 22.
