Abstract
1467861 Electrolytic disinfection of liquids SACHSSYSTEMTECHNIK GmbH 3 June 1974 [9 June 1973] 24412/74 Heading C7B Aqueous liquids are disinfected by anodic oxidation in the anode compartment of an electrolytic cell in which anode and cathode compartments are separated by a diaphragm exclusively permeable to anions and the cathode compartment contains an aqueous solution of NaCl, HCl or HzOz, such that anions pass from the cathode compartment into the anode compartment during electrolysis and improve the disinfective effect of the anodic oxidation.
