Abstract

1469996 Electrolytic disinfection of liquids SACHS-SYSTEMTECHNIK GmbH 3 June 1974 [9 June 1973] 24414/74 Heading C7B A liquid is disinfected by passing it first through the cathode compartment of an electrolytic cell in which anode and cathode compartments are divided by a diaphragm the liquid thus being subjected to electrolytic reduction, and thereafter through the anode compartment of a divided cell in which it is subjected to anodic oxidation. The apparatus shown comprises three electrolytic cells each divided by a diaphragm 8, conduits 9-12 being provided whereby liquid to be treated flows through the cathode compartment 6 of the first cell and thereafter through the anode compartments 7 of the two further cells.
